Yes, it works.  Staged homes sell faster according to a Real Estate Association study.  This was true for homes staged before the first listing and for homes already on the market, after they were professionally staged and relisted.  These homes had already been on the market for an average of 156 days.  In other words, staged homes sell in 6 weeks, while unstaged homes are more likely to sit unsold for months while the owners continue to pay the mortgage and expenses.
